About Rootpath Academy

What this is

Rootpath Academy publishes one thing: a complete cyber security programme, recorded from live sessions. 10 modules, 66 sessions, over 82 hours, 36 tools driven on screen. It runs from IPv4 and subnetting through Linux, reconnaissance, the OWASP Top 10, advanced web exploitation, Python, AWS and CTF practice, and finishes on the browser security model — sessions, TLS, cookies, the Same-Origin Policy and CORS.

Why it is a route and not a library

Security material is abundant and almost all of it is free. What is scarce is order. You cannot understand session fixation before you can read an HTTP response, and you cannot exploit an S3 misconfiguration before you know what an IAM policy is. The modules are numbered because the numbering is the product; the individual topics are, for the most part, findable elsewhere.

Who it is for

People moving into security from IT support, development or testing; students who want the practical ground the certifications assume; and self-taught learners who have collected a hundred tutorials and still cannot tell what they are missing. No programming and no networking background is assumed — the route opens at IPv4 and the Python module starts at variables.

How access works

One payment buys the whole programme. The moment your payment succeeds, your Google account is granted view access to the Drive library holding every recording, and the same link is emailed to you. There is no account to create, no password, and no subscription. It keeps working for life, and anything added later appears in the same folder.

What we do not claim

We do not guarantee a job, an internship, a placement or a salary. This is not a certification — it is not CEH, OSCP or Security+, nobody accredits it, and no credential is issued at the end. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OWASP, PortSwigger, Amazon Web Services, Cisco, HackerOne or any other organisation named in the sessions; all trademarks belong to their owners.

Running times shown across the site are currently close estimates rather than measured figures, and every page that quotes a total says so. What you get is the material; what you do with it is the part we cannot do for you.

On using any of this

Everything is taught against targets that exist to be attacked — PortSwigger Web Security Academy, Hacker101, picoCTF, deliberately vulnerable applications, and the instructor’s own cloud account. Pointing the same techniques at a system you do not own or have written permission to test is a criminal offence under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We teach the techniques; the authorisation is yours to obtain.
